Travel Guides Leisure is the official publisher of travel guides for local, regional and state-wide agencies and organizations including the Virginia Tourism Corporation, the state government tourism agency for Virginia. We have won many awards for our publishing and travel guide work, including most notably the 2008 Mercury Award from the Travel Industry Association. The national Mercury Award recognizes the Virginia Travel Guide as the premier visitor guidebook among all of the various 50 state guides. The Menu Restaurant Guide Launched in Roanoke in late 2009, The Menu is a unique restaurant-selection publication created by Leisure to provide residents and visitors with a quick, easy-to-reference dining guide featuring sample menus for a wide variety of leading area restaurants. Soon after the launch of the inaugural edition in Roanoke, Va. the guide quickly began to receive high praise from readers, distribution partners and participating restaurants. Building on this success, in mid 2010 we proudly introduced a second edition of The Menu in the Lynchburg region, and efforts are currently under way to bring this exciting new product to even more new markets. Periodicals Leisure is the publisher of three highly successful bi-monthly publications with a combined readership of more than 785,000. Web Products Leisure Publishing has a highly skilled web marketing team and manages and maintains websites for each of our magazines and guidebooks. The company is in the process of redesigning all of our websites, as well as focusing on the monetization and profitability of each web product. Quality of Life These books are a cooperative effort between Leisure Publishing and local chambers of commerce to produce a high-quality community profile that meets the client's needs. Leisure's role is to provide the expertise in advertising sales, ad design, editorial writing, photography and layout. The vision and direction for the book comes from the chambers of commerce.
